She has an incredible clinic in Sloane Street that we can't recommend highly enough.

We have such a personal relationship with our skin, we are so critical of ourselves and our complexion when in reality few people notice the odd spot, but when someone really glows you take notice. The combination of Lisa Franklin facials, a good skincare routine, and regular cleanses will ensure you feel and look your best

One of the biggest improvements I notice from a juice cleanse is in my skin! This selection of beauty-boosting juices work even harder by including all of Lisa's favorite nutrients for skin. This is the perfect choice for all beauty junkies so they can take care of their skin from the inside out!

Q & A with Lisa Franklin:

Q1 How important is what you put into your body for your skin?

It’s vitally important, great nutrition always starts with what you eat and supplemented by topical skincare to optimise skin health results.

Q2 What is your morning routine?

I start my day with a few yoga stretches and then I enjoy an açai bowl / earl grey tea whilst checking my emails and planning my day ahead.

My morning skincare ritual starts with my phyto gel wash, then I tone with my micellar water, then I apply one of my Clinic Privé serums, depending on what I feel my skin needs, I follow this with my pollution defence cream, luminescent base, a sunscreen and my lip FX product.

Q3 What has more value, good products or regular facials?

Both in equal measure - regular treatments can offer a unique difference to topical skincare alone. In-clinic treatments can include elements such as compressive microvibration which can’t be achieved at home but, the continued use of quality skincare products optimises any clinic results and provides for long-term benefits.

Q4 What are your top lifestyle tips for great skin?

Follow a disciplined skincare routine, drink plenty of water, increase your antioxidant/nutrient intake in your diet and take regular exercise.

Q5  Do you have any secrets for looking your best before a big event?

Our dermalux booster session is perfect for pre-events. It provides immediate visible improvement in skin tone, hydration and overall radiance which will continue in the following days.

Christmas truffle recipe

by Olivia Cartwright, , link

Christmas is a time of indulgence, filled with food, fun and of course lots of chocolate. We love to make our own treats so we know exactly what's gone into them without compromising on taste. This is a great, simple recipe for the whole family to enjoy. They also make great treats.

  • 240 ml light coconut milk
  • 300 g dairy-free dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste, or vanilla extract
  • 1 handful of desiccated coconut
  • 1 handful of mixed nuts , such as pecans, hazelnuts, macadamias
  • 2 tablespoons quality cocoa powder
  1. Pour the coconut milk into a small pan over a low heat and heat through.
  2. Snap the chocolate into a bowl, add the coconut oil, then pour over the coconut milk and stir gently to combine – it’s important not to mix too quickly.
  3. Stir in the vanilla, then cover the bowl with clingfilm and place in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours.
  4. When the truffle mixture is almost set, toast the desiccated coconut in a dry frying pan over a medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes, or until lightly golden, then tip onto a plate.
  5. Return the pan to the heat, scatter in the nuts and toast for 2 minutes, or until golden. Leave to cool for a few minutes, then finely chop and place onto a second plate.
  6. Spread the cocoa powder over a third plate.
  7. Using a teaspoon, scoop out little balls of the truffle mixture and roll in the palm of your hands, placing them onto a tray
  8. It’s totally up to you how you decorate them – roll the balls in the toasted coconut or chopped nuts, or for a simple finish, roll them in cocoa powder. Return the decorated truffles to the fridge for around 10 minutes to firm up, then serve.
